New viral seeding launch

Happy new year! I'm starting the new year by getting through all the jobs I've been meaning to do, building the foundations so that the rest of the year goes nice and smoothly. First off I've and created better branding and redesigned my Viral Seeding website which now includes most of the campaigns I have worked on and the results for each of them - the nice bits of coverage that I achieved. At the end of the day it's about results so I wanted to include this. It is also has a bit more about what viral seeding is about.

The good news is that it's already providing results. Traffic is increasing and I'm getting a few inquiries.

Next up is another redesign, along similar lines for Lee Washington Design which also features a CMS which will make it easier to add new projects.

Viral seeding

A nice case study from Rubber Republic on viral seeding - it is all about tailoring the message to the audience which is the approach that I take - who will find the content relevant?

Great viral from Samsung

Samsung have been doing some great stuff online this year - there illusions video was good and last year they did the macro photography viral. This though, is my favourite - it takes the very common unboxing of an electronics product and puts an entertaining spin on things:

Also nice is the microsite that is honest to the consumer, yet provides useful information about the product. Excellent stuff.

And now for one of the best virals I have ever seen

Excellently executed. Brilliantly funny. Highly personalised (love being able to record audio and add photos to the clip) and very very viral. I bet you'll find yourself passing it onto a friend!

Another exceptional viral

Some have argued that the age of the viral as a way of marketing is coming to an end - there's just too much content out there to get your message through. I would disagree. Youtube has just made it harder, for a viral to work nowadays it has to be truly exceptional and here is an example - it is one of my favourite virals this year. It's highly watchable because it holds your attention. and you really want to find out how it ends because the character is so brilliantly crafted. Once you realise, you watch it again. For me it's the Sixth Sense of the viral world, but without the kid:

new wirebreakers clip

Three weeks into the campaign and the third clip has launched. So far it's going well - about 50,000 views across all the channels that I'm seeding it to. Have had some really good coverage and the response has been good:

Pure genius

As part of my job I spend a lot of time watching clips on youtube, and this has to be one of the best things I've seen:

Wirebreakers

This is a viral marketing campaign that I've been working on:
