“If they were watch towers would we, as a society, be more against them?”
That’s a very unique observation however I think it’s important to note who owns the “watch tower”.
I believe that security cameras that are owned and maintained by the private sector are a valuable tool to monitor and protect ones property or loved ones, yet the same equipment in the hands of the government can to quickly become mismanaged and over intrusive.
