Just a note to say that I'm now also selling Facebook Tshirts from www.facebooktshirts.co.uk
From early next year I plan on created two new designs and expanding the range so this website will be where it's at!

Giant coin in London for the Big Lottery Fund
To mark the start of the phone voting for the £50 million Big Lottery giveaway, a giant 12 ton, 25ft pound coin was created at Potters Field, next to Tower Bridge in London. The giant coin symbolised the money being put back into the UK through The People's £50 Million Lottery Giveaway, reminding the public to get voting for which project they would like to win the massive £50 million grant. You can vote online at www.thepeoples50million.org.uk

Learning to love you more

A friend of mine was over for the weekend for the London Design festival. She was telling me about an exhibition that she went to in Eindhoven called Learning to Love you more. It's a project based aroung undertaking assignments which have been designed to enlighten and enrich your life. The website is filled with examples of work that people have sent in, and one family have even completed all 65 tasks.
My favourite is "Give advice to yourself in the past"
What would you say?
I think I would say "Enjoy the journey and don't worry so much"

youtube vs microsite

I've been working on wirebreakers campaign for six weeks now and we've achieved half a million views. I've learnt a lot from working on this campaign. One thing I've been thinking about is how customisable a youtube profile is and whether that negates the need for a microsite. For wirebreakers we built a microsite at www.wirebreakers.com and we also have a youtube at http://www.youtube.com/wirebreakers
I've realised that you can change the background image on youtube, therefore giving it more unique feel that lends itself to the campaign. I guess the question is that does a campaign need a microsite when it can live on youtube? I'm undecided - the main advantage of a microsite is that we get some decent stats on the location of visitors and are able to link through to a product page. But is that worth the investment in itself?

Song for someone

A very good friend of mine, Jim Littlewood, has just launched an online music gift service. He's an excellent musician and is offering a cool product whereby you can purchase a love song for that special someone that is unique to them - he'll sing about where you met, your hopes and a lot more. It sounds cheesy, but it isn't because the songs are the kind that you genuinely would want to listen to and are bloody catchy. Go check it out at www.songforsomeone.com
Highly offensive hamster
It's been around a while, but I wasn't blogging when I first came across it so here it is now. It's childish and offensive but made me laugh.
