22GL
My housemates and I have started a blog at www.22gl.com which I am contributing to. We are slowly forming ourselves into a design collective and will shortly be working on projects together.
I intend to continue writing this blog, but it's also definitely worth paying the design blog a visit, adding it to your RSS feed or becoming an email subscriber. In case you were wondering the name comes from our address, we starting referring to ourselves as 22GL and the name stuck.

Also check out their website for an interesting insight into the design process and engineering behind it. Incredible.

concept for cheering up the tube
Here's one of my initial concepts for cheering people up. I'm really enjoying the self initiated project this term. I've spent a week looking into what makes people happy, went around London finding happy people and rode the tube to get insights into how the experience could be improved and made more enjoyable.
I think that the turn styles which are used by everyone could be more creative and interesting. This concept involves each oyster card user having the opportunity to design their own 'oyster face' that appears when they tap their oyster on the reader. The effect being that that with each person that goes through the turn style, a different image would appear. It doesn't have to be limited to just faces - it could be anything.

Satirical advertising
Agency mother have created a print campaign for Schweppes that every two weeks features a new satirical cartoon based on current events. I nice idea, keeping the adverts fresh and interesting - I'll definitely keep an eye out for them. They're also at http://schyouknowwho.com/

One Man Band redesign
Spent some time over the weekend redesigning One Mand Band, my T shirt website. The design is cleaner and now features image previewers for each T shirt. It's also designed to have a similar look and feel to this blog. Also starting some more Facebook advertising and promotion to build the One Man Band brand in time for summer.
