laser engraved frame

I had an idea this weekend to laser engrave the glass of a frame with an image. The frame itself will contain nothing - the frame itself is the work. I've worked on creating 'woman in LA' as an illustrator file that I can laser engrave later this week. I'll post it as soon as it's done.

This is also, my 100th post on this blog. A celebration indeed.

Great viral from Samsung

Samsung have been doing some great stuff online this year - there illusions video was good and last year they did the macro photography viral. This though, is my favourite - it takes the very common unboxing of an electronics product and puts an entertaining spin on things:

Also nice is the microsite that is honest to the consumer, yet provides useful information about the product. Excellent stuff.

New print

Just got back from a fantastic weekend at V Festival filming the crowd and editing together videos for the website at

My work seems to be defying the credit crunch and has sold out at both shops, even "I would have Bought a Banksy" has just sold. Shame that all of the proceeds will be going towards paying my university fees for next year. Long term though, it'll all be worth it. I'm planning on creating a canvas print of the credit Crunch design and I've also completed my latest print design:

Believe it or not, this has taken me over a year to do as I was never quite happy withit. Now I am. Time to start working on the next one!

This image by artist William Lamson really caught my eye. Mostly because I hate CCTV and I love the way it's been obstructed by something as simple and as childish as a balloon.

I want to start a group on Facebook 'tie a balloon to a CCTV camera' and see how many people we could get to this. Would be great if London woke up one morning to find every CCTV camera had a balloon floating above it. It would draw attention to how widespread they are and perhaps people would question their use.

The feeling of 'Being behind'

Is it a 21st century thing? That feeling that there's always something to do. Of ideas and 'to do' lists that seem to get longer and longer. I have so many things that I want get done. I guess we're all the same

Alig G in Spooks Code 9

I'm currently working on this excellent new viral for the BBC's Spooks Code 9. It seems virals that allow you to personalise content are very popular this year. This one allows you to upload a photo and then take part in the action. Some people have been having a lot of fun with it, this one uses Ali G with hilarious results:

There's other vids on youtube with Bill Clinton, Courtney Cox and even Brucey. Great stuff.
